Archaeological Institute of America’s Annual Gala

Archaeological Institute of America

The AIA is North America’s oldest and largest organization devoted to the world of archaeology, with more than a quarter-million members.  Through outreach, education, advocacy, and preservation, the AIA has fostered the profession throughout the world, and unearthed the rich cultural heritages of ancient worlds for 132 years and counting.

Archaeological Institute of America’s Annual Gala

Irish actor and Cultural Ambassador to Ireland, Gabriel Byrne, will host the Archaeological Institute of America’s (AIA) Annual Gala.  Together with Tourism Ireland and Culture Ireland, this Irish-themed affair will celebrate archaeology and include a taste of Irish poetry, dance, spirits and a Gaelic feast created by native Dubliner and acclaimed Chef Cathal Armstrong.  The prestigious AIA Bandelier Award for Service to Archaeology will be presented to underwater archaeologist George F. Bass.  Click here for tickets and further information.
